Overview

GCWerks versions for GC, GC/MS and optical instruments share a common interface for instrument control, data acquisition, and data processing. All versions support importing existing data (such as Picarro or ChemStation files), or acquiring data directly from supported instruments.

Linux

GCWerks runs only on Linux, proven extremely reliable over years and decades of operation at remote sites and central data server.

Linux allows for a modular, multi-user environment.  Under Linux, instrument control and device drivers are separate processes and run independently of the GUI.

Real time data and instrument status can be viewed from any copy of GCWerks, running locally or remotely by any user with permission.  Updated results are also visible to any user running GCWerks.
